wHO WE ARE

Historic Knightstown, Inc began in 1980 to preserve the identity of century-old homes, the Knightstown Academy, and the Hoosier Gym. Knightstown is the home of several Indiana Landmarks which led to the town being designated as a “Historic District.”

Historical buildings must first be identified and submitted for approval before they can be pegged as landmarks. Historic Knightstown, Inc played a major role in Knightstown becoming a Historic District.

Located in the heart of the Knightstown Public Square, we have a museum that people visit for a variety of reasons. Whether you’re looking for Knightstown memorabilia or genealogy information about your family- you may find it at the Historic Museum of Knightstown.
